Between the 3rd to 9th century lived 63 saint poets who were living legends of devotion towards Lord Shiva. Decked deep into the fertile lands of the Kaveri Delta exists 275 temples termed as Padal Petra Sthalas which have been eulogised by these poets. On our journey, we explore the Periya Puranam, the Tamil literary work on the lives of the 63 Nayanmars, their poetry, the beauty of the quaint temples, the legends and what makes them great. More importantly we will be part of celebrations of Maha Shivarathri, understand the unique rituals of South Indian temples, practices of the local people, partake in their dance and music fest ahead of the festivity and get drenched in the spiritual wave.
