Dakshina Karnataka

The land that borders along the Arabian Coast, running along the mighty Western Ghats, is dotted with many sacred centres – temples with each having a tell-tale mythology; ashrams of spiritual perceptors; bordering across the divine rivers, sprawling across varying altitudes. The spiritual centres are multiple in nature – preserving the Devi, Shiva and Vishnu worship, while Gurus like Adhi Shankara walked the path to establish the Sringeri Mutt, Narayana Guru who built the Gokarnanatheshwara temple, Tirthankara Chandraprabha of Dharamshala, Krishna Mutt established by Jagadguru Shri Madhwacharya, Kola Maharishi of Kollur. On this journey, we explore the Dakshina Karnataka for the most prominent spiritual centres, the deities who have been visited by millions of pilgrims every year. We traverse through Dharamasthala, Udipi, Kollur, Sringeri and Mangalore to experience the spiritual vibrations against the picturesque landscapes.
